Soil is the Source of Our Life
Sanathana spiritual center in Galaha, Sri Lanka is a passionate movement lead by Mr. Sanath Vidanagamage and its aim is to protect soil and rivers in central hills. They fight for and dedicate to serve and preserve soil, the most preciouses living organism that helps our lives. They have deployed their hearts and minds to sincerely and actively connect with the soil and work with soil.
"We came from it and we will become it. So our soil is what we are and if you connect and communicate with the soil, you will feel and hear the vibrations coming from soil. It will tell you about the responsibility that we all have to fulfil" says Mr Vidanagamage, the founder.
What they say is that the top soil we see today is flesh and bones of millions of our ancestors. Trees and many other species similarly helped to make it fertile. Therefore the source of our life was originally sourced by the soil. No doubt, it is our source of survival. One day we will also become the top soil making it a fertile gift for next generations to come. Who ever we are, what ever we posses the soil will take it all. The question is do we have that generosity to preserve soil in out lifetime?
Even if we do all the nasty things to soil, it will always provide us with our everyday needs including water and oxygen. No doubt, at times soil will also punish us in its own style. We the humans think we are the most powerful force, big men until that moment where the soil takes over. Soil is it the most powerful and preciouses resource we have today, if we honestly understand its true nature and hidden powers. Therefore Sanathana Team is having a much bigger purpose to fulfil.
Not only it is a massive resource, but also the soil is the most powerful living organism that can perform amazing creations. Even the science have not fully understand the diverse nature an wonders, happening inside the soil. Look at the plants in your home garden or in farmland, and observe how the seed are germinated, how they are grown, how their root systems connect with soil?
Forests are amazing biodiversity heavens created by soil. It has the biggest memory chip which contains the design and architecture of millions of trees, animal and their diverse needs. The crop we cultivate on it, is the gift that soil offers us. However the problem is how generous we are to protect the soil.
So, can you recall your memory, how you treat the soil so far? Can you also think of things that you can do to protect the soil. May be your simple actions everyday will contribute to bigger achievements. If you are interested and passionate, you also can join hands with Sanathana to save the soil. Because we are benefiting today and we all going to be part of the soil one day?
